Astirvant competitive on Outdoor IBC Storage, helps client with their Environmental Management Systems: ISO 14001

The Client: A large national news printer.

The Brief: They were centalising the storage of all their various IBC's that were currently dotted around the premises.

They had chosen outside, as they had the space, but this meant more than ever that all the storage had to be compliant and prevent any possible spills from reaching the water course.

In total 32 IBCs would be stored and so a competitive tender process was launched.

The Solution: Bunded IBC Storage Units with lockable sliding doors were quoted. Each with bunded sumps to take at least the minimum legal requirement of potential spills and to be able to be loaded by fork truck.

A heavy duty construction is complimented by shot blasting prior to painting, resulting in a 20 year structural guarantee.

Each unit could take 8 IBC units and all together 4 units have been supplied.

Collaboration: These are large, heavy items and we used lorries fitted with HIAB cranes to off load and position the units. We constantly liaised with the site personell, including the provision and following of relevant risk assessments and method statements.
