Used Pallet Racking, New Shelving and new Mezzanine Floor

The Client: A leading provider of professional cleaning machines with a national back up service second to none.

The Brief: They had outgrown their existing space and needed a solution for their new warehouse that would not simply increase capacity but improve efficiency. In any move like this, costs have to be kept under control.

They are a company with a quality image and so the use of used pallet racking could have been a concern. However, having seen the quality of our package there was no hesitation - second hand doesn't have to mean second best! (see the images below).

The Solution: The main requirement was for the bulk storage of cleaning machines on pallets, with a need for picking levels and small parts storage in plastic trays.

The new warehouse was higher, so we moved the existing racking from the old, spliced the frames and made them taller. We added more good quality used adjustable pallet racking in a 'wide aisle' configuration, as the client was using a standard fork lift truck.

36 picking levels were added at low level with 18 being decked in 25mm chipboard for smaller, loose items.

Our highly versatile Expo 4 Shelving was utilised under some of the racking for high density storage of and quick acces to spare parts etc, using plastic storage trays with back stops and dividers.

Finally a mezzanine floor was installed, with an up-and-over pallet gate, for the storage of slow moving and miscellaneous items.
